What chemicals are on the Prop 65 lists and where do they come from?Updated 3 hours ago
The Prop 65 chemical lists include a wide range of chemicals, both naturally occurring as well as synthesized. Some chemicals on the list like lead, cadmium, and arsenic are found naturally in the environment throughout the world. These metals are widespread in soil and water, and will therefore, accumulate in animals and plants. They eventually end up in foods and dietary supplements typically at low levels. Even if a chemical is naturally occurring, if it is on the Prop 65 list, there must be a warning label on products in which it is found.
